Forgot your password?

Note: Bullish does not support biometric authentication with Windows Hello for computers running the Windows 10 or 11 OS. Windows customers will need to use either an external hardware passkey or a TOTP authenticator to authenticate.

In the case that you forgot your password, you can recover your account by resetting your password. You are required to have the following to be able to reset your password:

  • Answer to your security question
  • Registered two-factor authenticator (passkey or TOTP authenticator)

However, if you lose access to your registered two-factor authenticator(s), you can go to recovering your account.

To troubleshoot and reset your password:

  1. Go to the Bullish exchange and choose Log In.

  2. Choose Recover next to Forgot your password?

  3. Enter your email address and choose CONTINUE.

  4. Check your email for the verification code. Go back to the login screen and enter the verification code.

  5. Answer the security question and choose CONTINUE.

  6. Enter your new password and choose CONTINUE.

  7. Use your passkey for WebAuthn or your TOTP authenticator to approve this action.

  8. You will be redirected to the login screen with the pop-up message that your password has been updated.

Changing your password

Note: As an added security measure to your Bullish account, you are required to update your password every 180 days.

If you would to change your current password, you must have the following:

  • Your current password
  • Registered two-factor authenticator (passkey or TOTP authenticator)

To change your current password:

  1. Go to to log in.
  2. Choose Settings in the left-hand navigation.

  3. Navigate to Security.

  4. Under Additional Security, choose Update Password.

  5. In the pop up window, choose Change Password.

  6. Enter your old password and new password. Choose Continue.

  7. Use your two-factor authenticator (passkey or TOTP authentication) to complete the process. A message will appear once the new password successfully registered.
