There could be several reasons why you are unable to deposit funds:

  • Identity was not verified at the time the deposit was made
  • The deposit was made by a third party
  • Incorrect bank information entered
  • Missing or incorrect deposit memo entered.

Identity was not confirmed at the time of deposit

Identity confirmation helps to protect against fraud. Funds may only be deposited and transferred to your Bullish account after successfully completing the identity confirmation process.

If you are unsure whether you have successfully completed your identity confirmation process:

  1. Go to your User Menu in the upper right of the screen.
  2. Choose Complete Confirmation.
  3. Proceed and once your identity confirmation process is completed, you will be able to transfer funds.

Third party deposit

Due to the policies of our financial regulators, third party deposits are not allowed. The bank account, beneficiary, and name should match the customer’s registered name on Bullish. If you are using a deposit bank account under another name, we recommend you submit the request again using a bank account with the same name.

Note: Bullish will review deposits with slightly different names, (e.g. John Smith vs John A Smith). Approvals and rejections will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Incorrect bank information

If the deposit information is incorrect, the deposit may be rejected. To view your unique fiat deposit instructions:

  1. Go to the left-hand navigation and choose Portfolio.
  2. Choose Deposit.
  3. Choose USD.
  4. Read the Before Continuing screen and choose I Understand. You will be presented with the wire instructions on the next screen

If any information was incorrect in the deposit, you can submit a new deposit request.

Missing or incorrect deposit memo

A deposit memo is used to identify a recipient in an EOS or USD transaction. Each recipient will have a unique deposit memo that needs to be included when depositing to Bullish. It is essential to include the correct deposit memo before submitting a transaction.

Warning: Transactions with a missing or incorrect deposit memo may be permanently lost. For more details, please refer to Using an incorrect wallet address to deposit or withdraw assets.

A successful deposit could take up to five business days to appear in your Bullish account. If your deposit has not reached your account after completing the steps above, please reach out to our Customer Support for assistance.
